Start for Life campaign

The NHS have launched a campaign which provides free resources for parents and carers.

On 10 January, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) together with the Department for Education (DfE) launched the Better Health Start for Life ‘Little Moments Together’ Campaign. The campaign’s focus is on raising awareness for the importance of the brain development which occurs in the first five years of a child’s life. It provides information and advice for parents and carers, who play a crucial role in nurturing this development.

‘Start for Life’ emphasizes the importance of what parents and carers do with their children, from pregnancy to those early newborn weeks to encouraging communication – there are multiple resources available for parents online through the campaign.

Minister for Public Health, Start for Life and Primary Care, Dame Andrea Leadsom said: “The free resources now available through the Little Moments Together campaign will provide vital tools to help parents ensure their baby is getting the best possible start in life”.
